Română: Stema comunei Bârnova, judeţ Iaşi.

Stema Bârnovei are în componenţa sa următoarele elemente: scut tăiat în partea superioară, pe contra-hermină, un cap de bour, flancat de o roză şi o lună conturată, totul de aur. În partea inferioară, pe roşu, o spadă cu garda în sus, susţinută de o lună rasturnată, din acelaşi metal. Scutul este timbrat de o coroana murală de argint cu un singur turn.

Capul de bour (vechea stemă a Moldovei) aşezat pe contra-hermină, în semn de doliu, semnalează existenţa în biserica din Bârnova a mormintelor domneşti aparţinând familiei domnitorului Dabija Vodă. Sabia ce străpunge parcă luna aminteşte de jertfirea lui Miron Vodă Barnovschi la Istanbul şi de unul din hramurile bisericii (tăierea capului Sf. Ioan). Simbolul este împrumutat de la herbul polon Nowina (spada susţinută de o “toartă de galeată”). Coroana murală cu un singur turn ce timbrează scutul indică statutul de veche aşezare a Moldovei.
