Rodzaj obejmuje gatunki występujące w Azji (Irak, Iran, Chiny, Afganistan, Pakistan, Indie, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesz, Mjanma, Laos, Wietnam, Kambodża, Tajlandia, Malezja, Singapur, Japonia, Brunei, Tajwan, Indonezja i Timor Wschodni), na wyspach Oceanu Indyjskiego (Seszele, Wyspy Kokosowe i Malediwy) i Spokojnego (Papua-Nowa Gwinea, Nowa Kaledonia, Mariany Północne, Samoa Amerykańskie, Fidżi, Guam i Wyspy Marshalla)[3][4].
