Matthew Mercer znany jest z wielu ról w anime, podkładał głos dla min. Levia Ackerman z Ataku Tytanów[2], Jotaro Kujo z JoJo's Bizarre Adventure[3] oraz Yamato z Naruto[4].
Znany jest również graczom komputerowym z takich ról jak np. Leon S. Kennedy z Resident Evil 6[5], Gangplank z League of Legends[6], oraz McCree z Overwatch[7].

Poślubił aktorkę głosową Marishę Ray, 21 października 2017 roku[9].
