Długość ciała 13,5–15 cm; masa ciała 27–34 g[3].

Etymologia edytuj
Rhegmatorhina: gr. ῥηγμα rhēgma, ῥηγματος rhēgmatos „rysa, szczelina”; ῥις rhis, ῥινος rhinos „nozdrza”[4].
