Seria GP3 – sezon 2014

Seria GP3 – sezon 2014 – był piątym sezonem w historii serii GP3. Sezon rozpoczął się 10 maja na hiszpańskim torze Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, a zakończył 23 listopada na Yas Marina Circuit w Abu Zabi. Tytuł w klasyfikacji kierowców zdobył Brytyjczyk Alex Lynn, a wśród zespołów – brytyjska ekipa ART Grand Prix.

Kalendarz wyścigów edytuj

Kalendarz serii GP3 na sezon 2014 został potwierdzony 6 grudnia 2013 roku. Został powiększony do dziewięciu rund. Z kalendarza wypadła runda na torze Circuit Ricardo Tormo, dzięki czemu wszystkie wyścigi będą towarzyszyć Formule 1. Dołączyły rundy na Red Bull Ringu oraz Sochi Autodrom. Zgodnie z rotacją w F1, wyścig w Niemczech odbył się na Hockenheimringu[33].

Zespoły edytuj

  • We wrześniu 2013 roku ogłoszono, że mistrz serii GP2, rosyjski zespół Russian Time, zastąpi ekipę Bamboo Engineering, która po roku startów postanowiła wycofać się z serii[61]. Jednak po śmierci szefa zespołu Igora Mazepy oraz po zakończeniu współpracy z Motopark Academy zespół ten postanowił poświęcić się tylko serii GP2. Sytuację wykorzystał inny zespół GP2, juniorska ekipa Force India – Hilmer Motorsport[15].
  • Wicemistrz serii MW Arden zmienił nazwę na Arden International. Tym samym, podobnie jak w innych seriach, zespół będzie występował z brytyjską licencją[62].
