Deutsch: „In Gold (Gelb) zwei rote Zickzackbalken, belegt mit einem steigenden Biber mit roter Zunge.“ Die Zickzackbalken entstammen dem Familienwappen der Herren von Bevern. Der Biber ist ein redendes Symbol für den Ortsnamen -bevern = Biber.
English: „Or, two fesses dancetty gules, thereupon a langued gules beaver rampant sable.“

The arms were granted on September 21, 1936 to the former Amt Ostbevern and on April 7, 1975 to the municipality.

The beaver is a canting symbol (Biber, Bever). The two red bars are derived from the arms of the former Lords of Bever.
