1. WHITE BOARDER Denotes sentiments and willing to live in peace, equality and justice

2. RED LINE Denotes the struggle and sacrifice that the people of Harar made for their rights and freedom

3. GREEN LINE Denotes the readiness of the people for agricultural development

4. SYMBOL OF A PIGEON Signifies peace and democracy in Harari regional State.

5. SYMBOL OF A SCALE Denotes the clear goal of the Harari regional government and its people towards democracy, justice and equality

6. SYMBOL OF JOGUL Is considered the main symbol representing the local Harari history and cultural symbols.

7. SYMBOL OF PLOUGH Denotes the readiness of the regional people to put in practice economic developments in rural areas.

8. SYMBOL OF SUN RAYS Denotes the existence of great hope to expand knowledge within the regional state.

9. SYMBOL OF GEAR (Mechanical) Denotes the desire by the regional people to expand in technological development.

10. SYMBOL OF WHEAT (on the right) Denotes the goal of the region to be self-sufficient in producing their own food
