Glenbrook był pierwotnie kurortem nadmorskim z budynkami takimi jak łaźnie tureckie[1]. Pierwszą z nich był Royal Victoria Monkstown and Passage Baths, który został otwarty w 1838 roku. Następnie powstał Zakład Hydropatyczny dr Timothy'ego Curtina[2].
