Etymologia edytuj
Aphaniotis (Aphaniotus): gr. αφανης aphanēs „niewidoczny, niewidzialny”, od negatywnego przedrostka α- a-; φαινω phainō „pokazywać”[6]; -ωτις -ōtis „-uchy”, od ους ous, ωτος ōtos „ucho”[7].
