Jack L. Chalker

Jack Laurence Chalker (ur. 17 grudnia 1944 w Baltimore, zm. 11 lutego 2005 tamże) – amerykański pisarz science fiction.

Ukończył historię na Uniwersytecie Johnsa Hopkinsa, a następnie pracował jako nauczyciel historii. Wykładał w Instytucie Smithsonian, w Narodowym Instytucie Zdrowia oraz na wielu innych uniwersytetach, głównie tematy techniczne i science fiction.

Ożenił się z Evą C. Whitley w 1978. Mieli dwóch synów, Davida W. Chalkera (ur. 19 grudnia 1981) oraz Stevena L. Chalkera (ur. 4 września 1991).

Z powodu choroby serca został hospitalizowany 7 grudnia 2004. Po kilku tygodniach, z powodu pogorszenia się zdrowia, został przeniesiony do innego szpitala, gdzie zmarł.

W Polsce najbardziej znany jest jako autor cykli Czterech Władców Rombu oraz Świat Studni.
